Fashion Week Round-up: Beauty Trends for Spring/Summer 2016

As always, the team at The Pro Hygiene Collection® HQ  is wanting to find out what we should be wearing when Spring 2016 eventually arrives . But, more importantly for us, what new makeup looks we should be trying. Now that the fashion weeks have come to an end, we have wrapped up the key trends in line for Spring/Summer 2016, along with our top picks.

Although there have been some questionable beauty “trend-setters” at London Fashion Week i.e. the “skinny-brow trend”, which came charging in from the 90’s on the YSL catwalks (see above), there is a clear consensus among all the catwalks that “eau natural” is the way forward.

The pretty pinks that paraded London Fashion Week (see below) were paired with neutral makeup looks for an ultra-feminine look, perfect for spring days and evenings.

Red statements lips were seen countless times this year, particularly from Burberry who showcased the iconic ‘Ox Blood’ shade on the models but also the signature  ‘Nude Beige’, both of which complemented the fashionable fresh “no-makeup” makeup look beautifully.

Another 90’s trend which made its way to London, Paris, New York and Milan, was bold blue eye makeup. Although this look was seen a fair bit on the S/S2014 and S/S2015 runways, we’re placing our bets that 2016 could be the year to see it around, possibly along with the #BringBackTheArchBrow movement.

It’s great to see that high fashion is still timeless, whatever era may be your favourite (but being a nineties child myself, I might be biased, and excitedly so!). But who knows what trends 2016 may bring us – we will see…
